First week of Snow

Tuesday we came to school and there was snow on the ground! We were making forts, snowballs, and playing with ice chunks. The snow is soft, sparkly and white and there are big drifts of snow. We were sad that our field trip to Browns Coulee was cancelled, but we had fun playing in the snow with our friends.

This week we started getting gym tickets with our student numbers on them. If you keep your ticket in gym you get to put it in a draw for the end of the week. If you don't follow our class rules then you get your ticket taken away and fill out a think sheet. In gym we are also starting to learn volleyball skills, but right now we are using balloons to practice. We are looking forward to our next gym class.

We have been working on our Saskatchewan city posters this week. Each one of us is doing a city in Saskatchewan. Our posters are all very colourful and fun to look at. Some people started presenting their posters and the audience is writing notes about the presenters' cities and cool facts.

An occupational therapist came to our class this week to continue working on the Engine program with us. We tried different mouth tools to see what works best to calm us down or boost us up. We tried liquorice, a carrot, spicy cinnamon gum, a sucker, and a straw. We had fun trying all those mouth tools.

This weeks' post was written by our gym prize winners, Karley and MacKenzie.
