The 3 Girls' Weather Website

Visit the grade 3 girls' website on weather. It is great and you can put in your personal connections to wacky weather. Go to their website http://scaryweather.weebly.com/ and then view the section called "personal experiences" under MORE.

If you want to add your own personal experience then click on the link they provide and log in as user name alkajo (no caps) and the password is weather. Please be sure to follow good internet behaviour and only publish appropriate items. The girls will be monitoring their website and will remove anything not appropriate.

Blogging and Other Info

Hi Everyone,

We finished a fun and busy week. We have all been blogging up a storm. Please look for the note with information about blogging on it.

I just wanted to tell everyone again what a great job you did at the concert. You looked and sounded great. Thanks for being such a hardworking, great class.

Next week we need to concentrate on finishing our novel study-Christmas at Wapos Bay. You are doing a great job with your metacognition skills. We will also be doing some carolling with the whole school on Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday- PARTY TIME! I am trying to find the Wapos Bay movie to watch in the morning. In the afternoon you can bring games to play. Remember our game rules for the class-no electronics and quick, easy to play games. Also you can bring a snack. You can even bring junkfood! It is Mrs. Plettenberg's last day. Remember we have a little surprise for her.

Rock Stars

Yesterday was our last CREATE session with Ted, a local drummer.  He showed us a variety of different drum beats from different genres of music on his drum set.  After learning about different beats, we got to try out a couple.  Also, each of us did a mini drum solo.  Watch the video below to see our awesome beats!

How Our Engines Run...

We have been learning about our "engines" from Mrs. Ledding. We don't want our engines to be to high (hyper or stressed) or to low (sluggish or tired).  In the gym we tried a variety of different tasks to learn what can bring our engines up or down.

Saskatchewan CIty Posters

This month each student made a poster on a city in Saskatchewan.  On the posters students used attractive images, bright colors , and neat printing.  Here are some pictures of students working on their posters.

What Peace Means to Us

After reading a book about peace, each student chose a word or short phrase that they felt summed up the meaning of peace to them. This is a wordle of our words. The words are sized according to the number of students who chose that word. "No war" and "love" were the most predominate. Click on the wordle to see it enlarged.
